It’s almost time for the release of Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. The actor, who has been on a roll, giving the Hindi film audience films that pack a punch, will be back on the big screen to present this modern-day love story. Ahead of the release this Friday, the star, who is hoping to kick off 2020 on a high, shared a cute new romantic still also featuring co-star Jeetendra Kumar.
“Train waala pyaar. Is pyaar ke liye ab Hindustan ko train karenge. Jeetega pyaar seh parivaar. This Friday. 21st Feb,” he captioned the still that saw him resting his head on Jeetendra’s lap as they enjoyed their train journey.
Ayushmann, who has been redefined cinematic experience, said in a statement that he stands for films that are different. “For me, the yardstick of success has never just been about how much money a project makes. I would love to leave a body of work that I’m proud of because I stand for cinema that’s different, that tries to make you think. I want audiences to always think that I took the risk while trying to give them different cinema,” Ayushmann said.
The actor feels that the audiences are tired of the routine and as an entertainer, he is only trying his best to give them films that they have not seen before. He also said that feels “fortunate” that he is an actor in today’s progressive day and age.
“As an artist, I’m fortunate and privileged to be living and working in such times. I’m proud of my country and industry for the progressiveness that it has shown in the recent past and I’m grateful that I’m part of such a vision like ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ that tells us about important life and societal lessons,” he said.
‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ will clash with Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Bhoot Pat One: The Haunted Ship’ at the box office this weekend.
